HORSE SHOW CHECKLIST

 

1 Month Before Hand

• Ensure memberships and passports are in good standing (JA, EC, AEF, CET)

• Fill in entries before due date

• Arrange hotel and flights if necessary

• Check equipment for any damages and purchase any needed equipment and supplies

 

Days before show

• Clean horse up:

Clip bridle path, legs, and ears (if necessary)

Pull mane

• ​

Clean cork holes and stuff with cotton

 

• Pack tack trunk

• Set out shipping halter

 

Upon Arrival

• Locate and bed stalls (if not done already, everyone is expected to bed their own stalls or pay for set up fee)

• Fill Waters

• Help with barn set up

• Check with coach for ride times for warmups

After Show

• Check out at office

• Help tear down set up

• Pay grooms and braiders
